What Rapper Eminem is Afraid of... It’s Every Parents Nightmare!

Rapper Eminem’s 17-year-old daughter brought her boyfriend home to meet dad. Apparently dad, Marshall Mathers, AKA Eminem, had quite the wake-up call.

The boyfriend was raised on heavy doses of Eminem’s music along with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Ludacris, famous for their lyrics about violence and devaluing of women. Their lyrics, if printed, would make you nauseous. And if they don’t and you worship the ground these artists walk on, something is seriously wrong. If fact, the boyfriend’s favorite Eminem song is “Superman,” a song about putting anthrax on a woman’s hygiene product and then slapping her until she can’t stand. He also likes the song, “Kill You,” a brutal story of killing a woman and hiding her in a closet.

When Eminem found out the boyfriend was raised on his music, he had serious doubts about his character and wondered how the music influenced his world view. In an interview with The Onion, he commented, “And his parents let him listen to it?” What kind of house was that? I don’t even want to think about what kind of people they are.” Yes, lyrics about having sex with prostitutes and then painting the room red with blood are quite disturbing, but you wrote them!

What happens when a boy grows up listening to lyrics about beating women and treating them like dirt?

Well, Eminem, they go out in the world and date somebody’s daughter. Only this time, he dated yours.

You should be worried. Your wish for your daughter to date someone who never heard your lyrics is a good wish. If my daughter dated someone who grew up on your music, loved it and worshipped you as his hero, I would be distraught too.

The problem is your albums sold over 80 million copies world wide, making you one of the bestselling artists in the world. Maybe you should have thought of how your music would influence people BEFORE you made millions off of it. I am glad you are thinking about it now. Now, the consequences may be real. Now, your world view has taken root in the hearts of many. Now, those boys to men will have your lyrics in their heads.

Think of how many boyfriends have been influenced.

I’m sorry that your daughter has to date someone who loves your music, but I am also sorry about all the other daughters who will be victims of violence and misogyny.

Eminem, your chickens have come home to roost. And I agree, this is nothing to crow about!
